    Cookie Policy

    Every cookie and local storage item ComidaQR uses, and how to change your choice.

    3. With your consent, we count QR menu scans. Nothing else is optional.

    What cookies are

    Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage works in a similar way. Both are covered by article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE: we may use those strictly necessary for the service you ask for, and need your consent for the rest.

    Strictly necessary

    These are always on because the service does not work without them.

    • connect.sid (cookie, ComidaQR): keeps you signed in. Lasts 7 days.
    • cqr_consent (cookie, ComidaQR): remembers your cookie choice so the server respects it. Lasts 12 months.
    • cqr_cookie_consent (local storage, ComidaQR): the same choice, read by the website. Lasts 12 months.
    • session_…, cart and browsing state (local storage, ComidaQR): your table session, cart and recently viewed dishes on a restaurant's menu.
    • comidaqr-theme, comidaqr.ui.lang, comidaqr-ui-language (local storage, ComidaQR): your light/dark mode and language.
    • comidaqr_referral_code, comidaqr_selected_plan (local storage, ComidaQR): the partner code or plan you arrived with, so signup can apply it.
    • sidebar_state (cookie, ComidaQR, restaurant dashboard only): whether the side menu is open. Lasts 7 days.
    • Stripe (cookies set by Stripe, only on the card payment screen): fraud prevention for the payment. See Stripe's cookie policy.

    Optional, with your consent

    • QR scan analytics (ComidaQR): when you open a restaurant's menu by scanning a QR code, we record the scan (restaurant, table and your phone's language), and which dishes you open on the menu, so the restaurant can see how its menu is used. This uses the cqr_consent cookie above and stores nothing else in your browser.

    If you choose "Essential only", scans are not recorded.

    Changing your choice

    Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page to see the banner again and change your choice. You can also delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings; the banner will then ask again. Your choice is asked again after 12 months.
